Five Years of McCool Solutions
This summer marks five years since I officially launched McCool Solutions—and while I’m not usually one to make a fuss, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the journey so far.
When I started the business back in 2020, the goal was simple: to offer flexible, experienced marketing support to small and medium-sized businesses that didn’t necessarily need a full-time marketing hire, but still wanted someone they could rely on. I wanted to be a safe pair of hands—a partner who could step in and deliver smart, grounded marketing solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
Five years later, that’s still the foundation of what I do.
It feels like both a blink and a lifetime.
McCool Solutions has evolved into a trusted plug-in marketing department for clients across food, tourism, retail, and B2B. Whether it’s developing brand strategy, refining digital performance, planning campaigns, or just keeping the marketing wheels turning—I’ve had the privilege of working with some fantastic businesses and even better people.
What’s made it all worthwhile are the relationships built along the way. The clients who’ve trusted me with their brands. The collaborators who’ve brought energy and ideas. The projects that challenged me to think differently. I’ve learned a lot in five years—and I’m still learning.
If there’s one thing I’ve come to believe even more strongly, it’s that good marketing doesn’t need to be flashy. It needs to be thoughtful, consistent, and rooted in the reality of a business—its people, its goals, and its challenges. That’s the approach I take to every project.
